Finding Jesus

Who He Is And Why You Need To Know Him?

Today I typed this simple Question “Who is Jesus Christ” into my favorite search engine “duckduckgo.com“and surprisingly there where several good results. But was it enough information to fully answer my question. Well maybe, it depends on your background. For me it was enough, but to a person that has never attended church in their life or grew up in a christian family as I did, i’m not sure it would be enough.

One search result was from: www.biblicaljesus.org “Who Is Jesus Christ? At the heart of Christianity is a central question, “Just who is Jesus Christ?”It may be astounding to some that such a question is still relevant after nearly two millennia of Christian activity, but as strange as it may seem, even Christians do not agree about the nature of the Founder of their religion”.

Another was from: https://www.allaboutjesuschrist.org/who-is-jesus-christ.htm “Jesus is God’s only begotten son, yet He came from the throne of His Father to the womb of a woman. He became Son of Man that we might become sons of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin. He lived in poverty, and was unknown outside of Nazareth”.

These are just a couple examples of what an average person would find using a search engine. Hopefully enough information to be a good starting point with some of the basics about Jesus Christ. Next I will search the Holy Bible the ultimate search engine!

The bible says that Jesus is the word made flesh:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

The Supremacy of (JESUS) the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1:15-20

These are just a few scriptures I found, there is so much more about who Jesus is and why you need to know Him. The more I learn about Him, I realize the power and beauty of the gospel of Jesus ChristSalvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

LIFE AND BREATH

24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring. Acts 17: 24-28 amen.
